About Us

The Mission

Triglyph was founded with a mission to make tools for a better future. Our work is centered on informed, considered and directed design. At the heart of this philosophy is an insistence on intuitive human interface and clean, simple mechanical functionality.

We insist on making things locally and we want to help our clients do the same. We are focused on minimizing the environmental impact and cost of manufacturing through efficient programming, reduced waste and contamination and the elimination of post-processing whenever possible. We understand the need for repairable and reusable components as a pathway to economic and environmental sustainability and the need to think about the waste stream from the very beginning of product development.

Ultimately our goal at Triglyph is to maximize the reach and productivity of small and medium sized businesses through the use of automation and robotics. Our tools help people work safer and happier by helping businesses work smarter.

Design Lead

Joel Edelstein

A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Joel has always maintained a balance between the worlds of art and engineering.

His began his career in the film & television industry, designing and building custom 3D camera systems for music video clients and documentarians. In 2008 he co-founded the Digital Imaging Services company Frame Logic Digital, which he successfully grew into a regional leader in production engineering services.

During his tenure as a Partner at Frame Logic Digital Joel helped the business pioneer the file-based RAW imaging workflow that has now become standard throughout the industry. Working with industry partners such as Codex Digital he helped move client productions from the then-dominant tape-based imaging pipeline to an efficient combination of flash capture, RAID storage and LTO-5 tape backup. As part of this process he designed, built and programmed mobile datacenters that automatically managed image transfer, transcoding, verification and archiving for multicamera productions.

Among other hats worn at Frame Logic Digital, Joel also acted as the company's CFO. He designed and programmed a custom invoicing, accounting, inventory management and report generation system that helped track asset value generation and longevity for thousands of rental inventory items.

In 2013 Joel left Frame Logic Digital after 5 years of consistent growth, having managed the on-set imaging pipelines for a total of $500 million of film and television production for clients including Netflix, HBO, Showtime, NBC, Universal, Paramount and Warner Brothers.

Joel spun off Triglyph™ in 2013 to focus on product design and development for a wider audience. Since its founding Joel has focused on research and development as well as manufacturing.
